Bruce A. & Roberta Wolf Scholarship
The Bruce A. and Roberta Wolf Scholarship was established in 2026 in memory of Roberta (Moles) Wolf (’56) and in honor of Bruce A. (’77) and Christine (Brugger) Wolf (’76). As longtime members of the Marlboro community, the Wolf family is happy to provide scholarships that align with their family’s varied career paths. Roberta graduated from the Aultman School of Nursing.
As a registered nurse, she worked for Dr. Hirst in Marlboro, served as an administrator at Molly Stark Hospital, and then worked in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Akron City Hospital, where she loved rocking babies to sleep. She and Eldon, her husband of 58 years, taught their daughter, Lisa, and son Bruce the value of hard work and the importance of strong faith. Eldon and Roberta were passionate and dedicated members of East Nimishillen Church of the Brethren, where they served as youth advisors for many years.
Bruce is a lifetime member of the church, where he has been a trustee for 50 years and a deacon for 3 years. Bruce has continued to operate Bruce’s Lawn Service for more than forty years and retired after forty years at Custom Poly Bag, Inc. in Marlboro, where he worked as a machine operator, then department manager, and then Quality Control Manager. Chris spent more than forty years nurturing and educating young children as a preschool teacher, then as Director of several different preschools throughout her career. Bruce continues to volunteer with Agape Bread Ministries in Hartville. Bruce and Chris raised two daughters, Melissa (’02) and Jenna (’06), also Marlington graduates, and were delighted to become grandparents in 2025.
This scholarship will honor the Wolfs’ career paths and will support students pursuing:
- Nursing or any related medical field
- Tech, trade, associate’s degree, or certificate programs
- Bachelor’s degree in education, with a strong preference for early childhood education
