The Greiner Family Scholarship
The Jim and Jill Greiner Family Charitable Fund through the Greater Alliance Foundation has endowed a scholarship to recognize the importance that marching band plays in many students’ educational lives.
Through their participation in band, our children, Mike(’98) and Julie(’01), not only learned an appreciation of music but also the value of dedication and discipline in all aspects of life. As parents, we also benefitted from the comradery of band parents as we traveled to band competitions and supported fund-raising efforts. We all cherish the memories and friendships gained through our association with the Marching Dukes of Marlington.
This $1000 scholarship is for a student who has participated in the band for 3 years. There is no requirement for a field of study.
